It’s not too often that a new license would be worth pausing for or writing about, but this is one occasion.
Microsoft has officially released Microsoft 365 Copilot for Business, a new AI assistant designed specifically for small and mid‑sized organizations (up to 300 users). This means ministries, schools, missions, and nonprofits can now access the same AI capabilities that larger organizations have been using, but at a significantly more accessible price point.
And even better:
Microsoft is offering 15% off Copilot Business licenses through March 31, 2026.
This includes the standalone Copilot Business add‑on—discounted from $21/user/month down to $18.90/user/month during the promo window if paid monthly or save another 5% when paid annually at $216/user/year. If your ministry has been considering AI but hesitating because of budget concerns, this is the most affordable entry point I’ve seen yet.
I’ve talked about Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat and Microsoft 365 Copilot in the past. For a quick recap, Copilot Chat is the included version with Microsoft 365 that has access to the web, files you upload, and carries the same Enterprise Data Protection as Microsoft 365 Copilot. What then is Microsoft 365 Copilot for Business? It provides the same capabilities as the enterprise Copilot offering, just packaged for smaller teams and priced for small and mid-sized organizations.
Here’s what Copilot can help you do:
Here’s what Copilot can help you do:
- Suggestions for structures, flow and tone, draft and summarize documents in Word
- Prioritize your inbox, schedule focus time and 1:1 meetings, draft agendas, summarize message threads or help you write thoughtful responses in Outlook
- Quickly create presentations for board meetings, donor updates, or events in PowerPoint
- Catch up on missed meetings with summaries and action points in Teams
- Analyze spreadsheets for budget planning, attendance trends, or giving patterns in Excel
- Create content and images to support your ministry’s communication efforts
It’s like adding a personal assistant who’s great at writing, organizing, and research.e

Should Your Ministry Consider Copilot?
Recent industry research shows that over 80% of employers report their employees are already bringing AI tools into the workplace on their own. This underscores why ministries and all organizations need clear guidance, safe tools, and secure platforms like Microsoft 365 Copilot.
So ask yourself, does your team…
- struggles with communication workloads
- spends hours drafting content
- wants help staying organized
- uses Word, Outlook, Teams, or PowerPoint frequently
- or simply wants to be more effective with limited staff
…then Copilot may be the tool you need.
For many ministries, even rolling out licenses to just a few key staff: pastors, directors, administrators, could create a measurable impact.
CIM is a Microsoft Partner (and Google Partner), and while we don’t earn anything from your license purchase, we do help ministries make wise technology decisions.
If you want:
- help deciding whether Copilot is a good fit,
- guidance on licensing options,
- assistance enabling Copilot in your tenant, or
- training for staff on how to use it safely and effectively
—we’re here to help.
If you’d like a walkthrough, a demo, or a personalized recommendation for your ministry, just reply or contact our helpdesk. I’m also happy to discuss how AI fits into your broader technology and security strategy.
This promo ends March 31, so if you’re interested, now is the best time to explore it.
Grateful to serve alongside you,
Jonathan Meester, VP & Chief Technologist, Computers in Ministry
